About the Event
The Teaching Artist Think Tank is back with a four-part series this 21-22 school year!
For our second session on Wednesday February 23rd from 4:00 - 5:30pm we'll hear from young leaders from Youth Art Exchange in San Francisco's Youth Advisory Board. They will facilitate a digital collage-making activity that will give participants time to reflect on how to center youth leadership in the classroom and in our organizations while we also recalibrate what arts education means for today's young artists.
The Teaching Artist Think Tank (TATT) is a convening BY teaching artists FOR teaching artists. Hosted by the Arts Education Alliance of the Bay Area (AEABA) in partnership with the Teaching Artist Guild (TAG), TATT holds an ongoing convening space for Teaching Artists to share resources and practices in this transformative time. We aim to collectively support each other and strengthen our community of Bay Area teaching artists. TATT is co-facilitated and co-created primarily by teaching artists of color and is a safe space which centers Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and other historically marginalized identities.
