Luna seeks to hire two experienced Dance Teaching Artists to teach in our early childhood programs. In-person teaching will take place in Oakland and Berkeley early learning centers. Two positions are offered: a 50% teaching position, and a 75% position that is right for a dance artist who is interested in working closely in collaboration with classroom teachers and instructional aides in a coaching capacity. Compensation is commensurate with experience based on a full-time equivalency of $58-62,000. The 75% position comes with full benefits and partial benefits are available for the 50% position. Luna seeks to hire a Programs Assistant to support the Director of Programs in registration, promotion, record-keeping and organization, and communication. This position begins at 10 hours/week (March-August), expanding to half-time September 2023. With some exceptions, work may be completed remotely while Luna’s Berkeley studio is being renovated. Responsibilities include: Strategic planning, directing personnel to achieve strategic goals, daily operations, budget and financial management; grant and contract proposal writing, reporting, and compliance with full team; and facility management. The position requires a leader with technical, humanitarian, and conceptual skills—one who sees how the small and mindful acts are related to the big picture.
