Our Organization
Arts for Oakland Kids (AOK) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to developing funding and other resources to support arts education programs for children in under-resourced Oakland public schools.
Summary
The Executive Director (ED) of Arts for Oakland Kids works with AOK’s active, volunteer Board of Directors, and reports to the Board President. The ED serves as the primary leader of all organizational operations, including administration and implementation of AOK’s fundraising, strategic planning, and grant program management. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the ED will guide the organization from impassioned philosophical beliefs centered in empathy and equity. This is a salaried .75 FTE position at $60,000. Customary work hours are 30 hours/week Monday-Friday with flexible timing. Occasional weekends/evenings for monthly Board meetings and special events are required.
