New Conservatory Theatre Center is hiring Teaching Artists for spring 2025. Join our cohort of stellar teaching artists by filling out our Application Form. As we serve diverse San Francisco communities, BIPOC and multilingual speakers (particularly Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Our pay rate is $55-$60/hour (inclusive of prep time and travel), plus compensation for additional training.
ABOUT OUR WORKSHOPS
NCTC's Satellite program provides weekly after-school workshops and in-school residencies to K-8 students in San Francisco schools. After-school workshops take place Monday-Friday one hour per week for 8-10 weeks between 2:30-5:00 pm. In-school residencies vary in day, time, and hours. WHAT YOU BRING
Experience and interest in teaching youth ages 5 to 13
Ability to travel to San Francisco school sites
After-school availability (2-5 pm) or Residency availability (9 am-3 pm)
Reliable, team player, communicative, willing to learn new skills, friendly and outgoing
All Teaching Artists will complete a background check and must show proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
B.A. or B.F.A. in theatre or performing arts preferred, but not mandatory with relevant experience
