Music First Teaching Artist - Greater San Francisco Bay Area
Currently, MUST is looking to hire experienced musicians, and visual, dance, and theater artists for classes and after-school programs for K through 12 students. The right candidate will be comfortable teaching and facilitating classes at the younger, middle, or older grade levels.
Job Type: Part-time, during school, after-school
Grade Levels: Preschool & Headstart
Pay: $70 per hour
Hours: Minimum two hours per site, per week

QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications – experience in teaching in classrooms and experience in music, theater, the visual arts, media arts or movement. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- One or more years of experience teaching the appropriate grade level either as a volunteer or paid position.
- Bachelor’s degree, a degree in progress, or equivalent experience in teaching or the arts
- Experience in early childhood education ideal
- Experienced musician with the ability to compose, sing, and/or play instruments with groups of students, or dance with practice in choreography, visual or theater artist who can work within the curriculum parameters
- Experience creating and delivering an engaging multicultural curriculum
- Knowledge of SEL and social justice practices
- Written and verbal communication required
- All new hires must clear a background check for the school district and must have a clear TB test within the last 4 years, Covid screen, and other common vaccinations to be around young children
