2020 Curriculum Slam Co-Produced by Arts Education Alliance of the Bay Area and the Alameda County Office of Education Integrated Learning Department (ILSP)

Wednesday February 26, 2020 6:00 to 8:30 PM Event will be held in SF at a location close to Bart
The Curriculum Slam is a showcase of the creativity, critical thinking, and innovation that Bay Area arts educators/teaching artists bring to their students/classrooms. Presenters will have 7 minutes to share their story. Each presentation will consist of 14 PowerPoint slides with only 30-seconds to speak about each slide.
Interested in presenting? Are you an arts educator serving the San Francisco Bay Area? Do you have an innovative and/or interesting way of facilitating student voice and creative expression? We want to hear your story.
To apply, use this online form to send us a proposal that includes the following: · Your name, phone, email, your role (e.g. dance teaching artist, high school visual arts teacher, musician, middle school science teacher) · Your idea for your presentation (150 words max) · Proposed “grabby” title (15 words max) · Brief bio (150 words max) · Photo of you that can be shared publicly if you are selected Applications are due by 5 pm on December 6 by filling out this online form.
Selected presenters will receive a $100 honorarium for their participation.
There will be a required presentation workshop held in SF at Intersection for the Arts on Sat Jan 11th from 12-1:30 or Thursday, Jan 16th from 4-5:30. You must be able to attend one of these meetings to prepare for your presentation. Also, there will be the option of additional phone coaching if needed.
